OBAKE
OBAKEは、LiDARセンサーを使った実験的なARエフェクトアプリです。いないはずのものが、目をそらせない距離に、確かな大きさをもって立っている。そんな光景を実際に撮ることができます。
カメラを向けた現実の空間におばけを呼び出し、そのまま写真と動画で記録します。自分の部屋でも、夜の路地でも。見慣れた場所であるほど、そこにいないはずのものが写り込んだときの不自然さは際立ちます。
LiDARセンサー搭載モデルでは、おばけが家具や壁の裏へ回り込みます。奥行きを正しく認識しているため、画面に重ねただけの合成ではなく、その場に居合わせたような一枚になります。
OBAKE is an experimental AR effect app built on the LiDAR sensor. Something that shouldn't exist, standing close enough that you can't look away, at a size you can't argue with. That's the shot you get to take.
Point the camera at the space in front of you, summon a ghost into it, and capture it as a photo or video. Your own room, an alley at night — the more familiar the place, the harder it is to explain what's standing in it.
On LiDAR-equipped models, ghosts slip behind furniture and around walls. Because the depth of the room is read correctly, the result isn't an overlay on your screen — it's a frame that looks like you were there with it.
